Dosage
Adults - Take 2 to 3 tablets daily with meals, or as professionally prescribed. Children (under 6 years) - Only as professionally prescribed.
Ingredients
Calcium phosphate 570 mg, Calcium hydrogen phosphate (equiv. to total calcium 350mg) 600 mg, Vitamin D3 (Colecalciferol 2.5 mcg) 100 IU
Purpose/Usage
Supplementation with calcium and vitamin D helps to maintain calcium stores in the body. Calcium is responsible for much of the strength of bones and teeth, and also plays an important role in a variety of body processes, including muscle and nerve functioning and iron metabolism.
Precautions
If taking tetracycline or quinolone antibiotics, biphosphonates (osteoporosis drugs) or thyroid hormone separate doses by at least two hours. Calcium, zinc and magnesium may decrease the absorption and efficacy of these medications. Consult your healthcare professional before use if taking verapamil. Calcium may decrease the activity of this medication.
