Purpose/Usage
Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) is a naturally occurring polyunsaturated fatty acid present in small quantities in many foods, especially meat and dairy products. CLA is not produced by the body but is easily absorbed. It is essential for the delivery of dietary fats into cells. It transports glucose into cells where is can be used to build muscle and produce energy rather than being converted to fat. CLA is also a powerful antioxidant and may support immune function.
Chromium is an essential trace mineral that plays an important role insulin?s regulation of blood sugar. It is also a cofactor in carbohydrate and lipid-metabolizing enzymes and may have a positive effect on blood cholesterol levels.
Magnesium is a mineral critical to over 300 enzymatic reactions in the body. It participates in neuromuscular activity, including temperature regulation, detoxification reactions, synthesis of genetic material and energy production through carbohydrate metabolism. Garcinia cambogia (Brindleberry) is a botanical extract rich in hydroxycitric acid (HCA). HCA has been shown to alter energy metabolism and utilisation.
