Dosage
- Adults and children over 12 years: 5ml every 6 hours.
- Children 6-12 years: 2-4ml every 6-8 hours.
- Children 4-6 years: 1.75-2ml every 6-8 hours.
- Children 2-4 years: 1.25-1.75ml every 6-8 hours.
- Children 1-2 years: 1-1.25ml every 6-8 hours
Not recommended for use in children under 1 year without medical advice.
Ingredients
Dexchlorpheniramine 2mg per 5ml.
Purpose/Usage
Polaramine syrup is specially formulated for children up to 12 yrs for the relief of allergic symptoms such as sneezing, watery and itchy eyes, skin, rash and hives.
Precautions
Drowsiness can occur - avoid driving or operating machinery until response is observed.
Other medication such as hypnotics, sedatives and tranquillisers may potentiate the sedative effect.
Avoid alcohol.
Do not take with MAOI antidepressants.
