Dosage
Adults (12 years and older): Take 2 capsules twice daily at a different time of day to prescription medication.
Children (6 to 12 years): Take half the adult dose.

Adverse Effects
Common Side Effects of long term therapy include suppression of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis (HPA) (including
adrenal gland suppression) and growth retardation, Cushing�s syndrome (bloating), muscle wasting, skin thinning,
hyper-pigmentation, easy bruising, fluid retention, predisposition to infection, poor wound healing and glucose intolerance and most importantly osteoporosis.
Side effects may also include mood swings, nervousness, insomnia, peptic ulceration, cataracts and glaucoma. Inhaled corticosteroids have less problems due to their lower doses however they may cause throat irritation, candida infection,
hoarseness and headaches.
Short courses less than 15 days do not cause significant nutrient depletion. Long courses produce risk of significant health
problems.
