Dosage
Insert 1 suppository into the rectum up to 3 times daily. For rectal use only.
Ingredients
Each gram contains: Hydrocortisone 5mg, and Cinchocaine hydrochloride 5mg. Inactive ingredients include liquid paraffin, white soft paraffin and wool fat.
Purpose/Usage
For the treatment of haemorrhoids and other associated anorectal conditions.
Do not use for more than 7 days unless a doctor has told you to.
Precautions
Do not use proctosedyl if you have experienced an allergic reaction with hydrocortisone or cinchocaine hydrochloride, or with any of the other ingredients. Do not use Proctosedyl when infections affecting the anus or surrounding area are present e.g. sexually transmitted diseases such as herpes. Proctosedyl should not be used if you have tuberculosis.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if there are cuts or abrasions in the area of the anus, eg blood on toilet paper after dececating.
CAUTION - Do not use for children under 2 years old unless a doctor has told you to. Storage Store below 25*C
In very hot weather keep in refrigerator or cooler. Alternatively, place plastic shell in cold water for several minutes before opening.
