Details

Apo-Loratadine relieves the symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (hayfever), such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose and burning or itchy eyes.

Apo-Loratadine may also be used to relieve the symptoms associated with the skin condition called urticaria (hives); these symptoms include: itching, redness and lumps on the skin.

Apo-Loratadine belongs to a class of medicines called antihistamines. Antihistamines help reduce the allergic symptoms by preventing the effects of a substance called histamine, which is produced by the body in response to foreign substances to which the body is allergic.

  • Adults and children over 12 years - take 1 tablet once daily
  • Children 2 - 12 years of age (over 30kg) - take 1 tablet once daily
  • Children 2 - 12 yers of age (under 30kg) - take half a tablet once daily
  • DO NOT USE IN CHILDREN UNDER 2 YEARS OF AGE
  • Loratadine 10mg
    Also contains: lactose, cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, silicon dioxide and magnesium stearate.
  • Apo-Loratadine tablets should not be taken by children under 2 years of age.
  • Do not use this medicine for any purpose other than specified on the pack, unless under the instruction of a doctor or pharmacist.
  • If you are to have any skin tests, discontinue use of Apo-Loratadine 48 hours prior to the tests as antihistamine may interfere with the results.
  • Do not give Apo-Loratadine to anyone else, even if their symptoms are similar to yours.Apo-Loratadine helps most people with allergies. Most people taking Apo-Loratadine experience no side effects. If they occur they are likely to be minor and temporary. In very rare cases tiredness, headache, upset stomach or rash have been reported. Apo-Loratidine is unlikely to make you drowsy but if it does make sure you do not drive or work with machinery.
