What is Biteaway?
Biteaway is a quick natural remedy to an annoying problem-insect bites. Bite away uses the principle of concentrated heat to relieve insect bites - either immediately once they occur or even hours afterwards. It is used externally after the bites and stings of gnats, mosquitoes, wasps, bees, sand flies and flees. Also stings of some type of spiders, other insects and jelly fish can be treated with Biteaway. Bite away is small enough to carry in a purse or bag inconspicuously, so it can be taken anywhere and used anytime.

Who is Biteaway for?
Biteaway is useful for everyone who experiences stings and bites. It is safe and easy to use and may be used by both children and adults alike.

How does Biteaway work?
Biteaway uses concentrated heat (approx. 50c) This is the temperature at which insect protein molecules become decomposed. These proteins are responsible for the itching, pain, and the allergic reactions. By using the device on a specific area of a bite or sting, Biteaway helps destroy the protein underneath the skin, thus relieving the bit or sting instantly.

What is in it?
Biteaway is a battery powered device developed in Europe (Germany). It has a single chip thermostat inside and a gold plate on top (no nickel is used, this allows people allergic to nickel to use it!) Biteaway is 100% chemical free.

How do I use it?
It is best to apply Biteaway immediately after the bite or sting occurs. If you do not have it handy after you are bitten or stung, you can still use the device once you do have access to it. Then follow these steps: 1. Place the device's heating surface directly on the bite or sting.
2. Press one of the two starting keys*. You should hear a beep sound and a green diode will light up.
3. During the appropriate treatment time, keep the heating surface slightly pressed on the bite.
4. Once the treatment is over, the light will go out and there will be an acoustic signal lasting about half a second.
5. Now you can remove the Biteaway from the bite or sting.


*Note: the right key is for adults (treatment time is approximately five seconds), the left key is for children or adults with sensitive skin (treatment time is approximately three seconds)

Are there any side effects from Biteaway?
There are no side effects. Due to the concentrated heat some people may feel some discomfort while applying the devide - but only for a few seconds. Biteaway has been dermatologically tested and has a built-in safety devide (automatic shut-off), so there is no danger of burning.

How long can I use it for?
Biteaway comes with two AA batteries which will last for approx. 300 applications. After that the batteries can be easily replaced. Biteaway is a lifetime solution for the treatment of bites and stings!

What is the difference to similar products?
In contrast to similar looking products which use electric shock (zapping) to fool the user from an itchy feeling into a pain impulse and can bering only temporary relief, Biteaway uses concentrated heat which destroys the proteins responsible for the itching, swelling, and allergic reactions in the first place, thus relieving the user of the unwanted side effects from stings and bites permanently. That makes Biteaway much more effective. Furthermore Biteaway is also safer to use as it has an automatic shut-off so the user exactly knows when the treatment is over and can rest assured that the correct temperature has been reached.
