Candida is an overgrowth of yeast fungus resulting in an imbalance of the natural micro-organismms present in the vagina. In this condition the Candida organism predominates causing the symptoms of discomfort and discharge. Diabetes, obesity, illness, and fatigue can increase susceptibility to the condition.
